Museum sustainability is a multifaceted concept encompassing environmental, economic, and social dimensions aimed at ensuring the long-term viability and relevance of museums. At its core, sustainability in museums involves practices that minimize negative impacts on the environment, support financial stability, and engage with diverse communities. Environmental sustainability in museums involves reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste generation, and adopting eco-friendly practices. Economic sustainability is crucial for museums to maintain operations and fulfill their missions effectively. This entails diversifying revenue streams, cultivating philanthropic support, and implementing sound financial management practices. Social sustainability involves fostering inclusivity, accessibility, and community engagement within museums.
